Privacy Policy and Terms of Use
By clicking “I Agree,” I acknowledge that I am submitting various documentary materials such as my written story, photos, documents, videos, or interviews (the “Materials”) to PhilaPlace and the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, a non profit corporation (the “Society”) on the following terms.
I am providing the Materials for the PhilaPlace website project and for any other educational, research, and scholarly purposes the Society may wish to make. I have not been promised and will not receive any payment or other compensation for this submission. I will not revoke this permission.
The Materials are of historical and cultural interest, and do not include anything that is confidential, private, untrue, or that violates the rights of anyone who may be depicted or described, nor do the Materials disparage or defame any person or company. Any audio or video tapes were either created by me, or were created by someone pursuant to my instructions expressly for me to own and do with as I wish.
While I retain all ownership of the Materials, including any copyright ownership of my Materials, I freely give the Society a non-exclusive right to use the Materials in any way, anyplace in the World, including web sites or any other media or format, including editing or adapting the Materials as needed. The Society may also use any of the Materials, as well as my name, image, or likeness, in connection with advertising the Society or PhilaPlace, however the Society is not obligated to use my name in connection with Materials. The Society may allow other organizations to use the Materials for similar purposes.
On behalf of myself and my heirs, I hereby unconditionally release and hold harmless the Society, its directors, officers, employees, agents, licensees, partners, and assigns, from any liability, claims, or causes of action whatsoever may arise anywhere in connection with the Materials.
