Note on back of photo reads: These are 1000-pound bombs about to be swung aboard a munitions ship May 24 at Hog Island in Philadelphia, The Army's loading terminal for high explosives used in the war with Germany. Three Coast Guardsmen are shown checking the draft in the cargo sling before permitting it to be picked up by the boom.
