Caption reads: Joe Myers and Joe Borrell, Every bag of raw sugar unloaded at the Delaware Ave and Shackamaxon St. refinery of the Pennsylvania Sugar Company gets a bayonet thrust into the belly. The "bayonet" is wielded by one of the plant's experienced samplers and the purpose is to draw off a sample of the Cuban product to determine the purity. The sugar company pays according to its purity.
