- The May Queen had a “court” of young girls following her through the parade. They youngest girls, around 7 years of age, are wearing their First Communion dresses. Depicted in center foreground [little chubby girl with the really round face] is Anna’s older sister Marie Appolonia, and to her right is their cousin Phyllis Appolonia [flowers in her hair].
