- Description
- Young girls lead Aspira's procession at the 1973 Puerto Rican Day parade. Caption from El Viaje: "By the 1970s, the Puerto Rican Day parade capped a week of activities, as the community celebrated Puerto Rican heritage and represented itself to the larger Philadelphia community. Spearkers included leaders of the Puerto Rican community and politicians from Philadelphia and Puerto Rico. Floats represented community organizations and businesses. Here young girls lead Aspira's procession in 1973." Photo take
