- The Committee for the Defense of the Community (Comite Por La Defensa de la Comunidad) marching at the Puerto Rican Day parade, carrying banner saying "Via Puerto Rico, Libre y Socialista." Caption from El Viaje: "Political groups, seeking fundamental changes in society and often independence for Puerto Rico, also marched in the parade. Here the Committee for the Defense of the Community's banner reads, "Long live Puerto Rico, Free and Socialist," in 1972.
