“I hereby solemnly promise: That I will continue the struggle against low wages, poverty and oppression, and that I will not falter nor be intimidated by hired assassins nor discouraged by subservient and ofttimes tyrannical judiciary;
“That if necessary, I too will lay down My life in order that all those who toil may be delivered from industrial enslavement by the unamerican and avaricious industrial despots.
“To all of wich I, at the bier of our martyred brother, Carl Mackley, Do pledge my most sacred word of honor.”
