The Music of a South Philly Life
The Stiffel Swingers are a trio of older men who play music every Friday at a South Philadelphia senior center. Two of the men, David Welsh and Dan Podolsky, are life-long residents of the neighborhood. Joined by a professional keyboardist, Ralph Caporal, the two South Philadelphians transform their community into a dance hall on a weekly basis.
Located in the heart of South Philadelphia, the accredited JCCs Jacob and Esther Stiffel Senior Center provides vital services to adults who seek programs and friendships that exercise their minds, bodies and spirits.
