When I lived in the South Street neighborhood in 1969 I took many walks with my year old son Sean and my camera. As a recent graduate of Philadelphia College of Art I was interested in documentary and street photography. My son had many friends around the neighborhood from one to ninety years old. The elders sat out to keep an eye on the street and watch the kids play. People washed their steps, worked on cars, and the kids played games that they learned from older brother and sisters.
